The United Arab Emirates has firmly condemned the offensive and inflammatory remarks made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu concerning the potential establishment of a Palestinian state within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The United Arab Emirates has unequivocally rejected these unacceptable statements, which represent a clear infringement of international law and the principles outlined in the United Nations Charter.
Khalifa Bin Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, emphasized the UAE’s complete solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and reiterated its steadfast stance against any threats to the Kingdom’s security, stability, and sovereignty. The minister highlighted that the UAE regards Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty as an inviolable ‘red line’ that must not be compromised or violated.
The UAE has firmly reiterated its unequivocal rejection of any violations of the Palestinians’ inalienable rights and any efforts aimed at their displacement. The importance of ceasing settlement activities that jeopardize regional stability and hinder prospects for peace and coexistence was emphasized.
Additionally, the minister called upon the international community, the United Nations, and the UN Security Council to fulfill their obligations in addressing illegal actions that contravene international law. Shaheen reaffirmed the UAE’s longstanding commitment to protecting the rights of Palestinians and highlighted the necessity of establishing a serious political framework to resolve the conflict and create an independent Palestinian state, reflecting the UAE’s conviction that regional stability can only be achieved through a two-state solution.
