The Iranian foreign minister announced on Saturday that the upcoming discussions with the United States regarding Iran’s progressing nuclear program will take place in Oman, with US envoy Steve Witkoff scheduled to attend on April 26. Prior to this, experts will convene in Oman for preliminary meetings.
Abbas Araghchi’s remarks indicate progress in the second round of negotiations between the two nations, which occurred on Saturday in Rome.
Following several hours of discussions at the Omani Embassy located in Rome’s Camilluccia neighborhood, there was no immediate statement released by the US representatives.
Araghchi described the talks as being held in a constructive atmosphere, stating that progress is being made. He expressed hope that the outcome of the technical discussions will place them in a more favorable position.
