Dubai Civil Defence teams successfully brought a fire under control in a 67-storey residential building in the Marina area, with no injuries reported. Firefighters fully extinguished the blaze within six hours, while thick smoke continues to be visible due to standard cooling procedures that are still underway.
Authorities confirmed that all 3,820 residents were safely evacuated from the high-rise, with no casualties. Emergency medical teams and ambulances were immediately dispatched to the scene to provide both physical and psychological support to those affected.
Relevant government entities are currently coordinating with the building’s developer to arrange temporary accommodation for displaced residents, prioritizing their safety and welfare.
In a separate initiative aimed at strengthening community relations, Dubai Police — through Al Barsha Police Station — hosted a public community meeting as part of the ongoing “Your Voice is Heard” campaign. This initiative seeks to foster open communication channels and direct engagement between the police force and members of the public within the station’s jurisdiction.
The meeting, held at the station, was led by Colonel Yousef bin Qiba, Deputy Director of Al Barsha Police Station, and attended by senior police officials, citizens, residents, and community partners.
In his opening remarks, Colonel bin Qiba highlighted the Dubai Police’s commitment to maintaining transparent and effective communication with the community. “This gathering reflects our leadership’s dedication to open dialogue with our customers and enhancing the quality of services we provide,” he said.
He further emphasized the importance of community feedback, noting that Dubai Police actively considers and responds to suggestions from the public. He reiterated that police stations remain open and accessible to everyone, helping streamline government processes and improve service quality, efficiency, and flexibility.
