Pakistan has become a ground for instability since the ouster of the recent premier. Starting from political instability leading towards other anarchical situations is becoming talk of the day for common citizens . Pakistan has been a religious based ideological state with religious cum sectarian issues in an intense way since late 80s . The society has turned out to be more Sunni and Shia rather than being a fair muslim . Historical manifestations and future predictions are alarming when it comes to formation of Madrasah and sectarian conflicts . The recent Madrasah Registration bill which suggests the Supervision of all Madrasah under the Ministry of Education has sparked controversy among Religious schools of thoughts especially ( the Deo bands ). The deoband school of thought is the largest breeder of Madrasah since the zia regime.
Today , they have become stronger than Pakistan’s conventional education system. Their strength has encapsulated the political sphere of the Country as well. Any controversy whether that is genuine or fabricated related to Madrasah are taken more into account by the political parties rather than the religious groups themselves. Nowadays the controversial bill regarding education which is that the Madrasah should come under the emblem of the Ministry of Education has pinched religious scholars seeing their melt of influence in Madrasah. The religious scholars used to tilt the Madrasah Education according to their own theologies whether that goes against the state or so.
The government is reluctant to execute this policy anymore as the state faces international pressure, a so-called FATF pressure on the government to include all the religious institutions under the umbrella of the Ministry of Education thereby controlled by the government. The pressure has taken on an intense situation between government bodies and religious associations and a debate has been already triggered which may lead to further instability in the country if not resolved. The government has tried not to raise religious tensions when the state is already undergoing political turmoil. Furthermore, religious integration and sectarian dismantling is the need of the hour for the government as well as for the policy makers .
