Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to visit Saudi Arabia from March 19 to 22, as announced by the Foreign Office on Tuesday. The purpose of this visit is to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance economic collaboration.
According to the statement from the Foreign Office, Sharif’s delegation will comprise Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with several key federal ministers and senior officials.
During his visit, the Prime Minister is expected to meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The discussions will focus on strategies to increase trade, foster partnerships in vital sectors, and promote greater economic cooperation.
The visit is intended to reinforce bilateral relations, boost economic collaboration, and encourage investment between the two nations. The agenda will also address matters of mutual interest, including global and regional developments, particularly the situation in Gaza, the evolving dynamics of the Middle East, and issues concerning the Muslim Ummah.
This visit highlights the longstanding historical ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and is anticipated to facilitate enhanced mutual understanding, improved cooperation in trade and investment, and greater diplomatic coordination on bilateral, regional, and global issues, as stated by the Foreign Office.
