In an exclusive joint interview due to air on FOX News on February 18, US President Donald Trump slammed media attempts to manufacture conflict between him and billionaire DOGE CEO Elon Musk, claiming that the efforts are failing.
The discussion with Sean Hannity of FOX News Channel will also address Trump’s first 100 days in office and key current news stories.Trump stated, “I see it all the time…” Actually, Elon phoned me; you know they’re trying to drive us apart. I replied, “Yes, absolutely.” He added, “We have breaking news: Donald Trump has handed over control of the president to Elon Musk. President Musk will attend a cabinet meeting at 8:00.
He added, “They are really horrible at it. I used to think they were great at it. They’re actually poor at it. I believe no one in history has ever received more negative publicity than me. I am capable of big things. “I receive 98% negative publicity.”
According to the New York Post, the 47th president mocked some of what he’d heard about himself and Musk on the news by speaking in the cadence of a television news anchor.
“They said, ‘We have breaking news.'” Donald Trump has handed over control of the presidency to Elon Musk. Trump joked, “President Musk will be attending a cabinet meeting tonight at 8:00.”
He criticized the media for seeking to strain his relationship with Elon Musk, the chairman of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Elon Musk did not respond well to the traditional media’s attempts to depict them as rivals.
Musk, joined by his four-year-old son X, was spotted in the Oval Office with Donald Trump a few days ago as the US President signed an executive order to further reduce the government workforce.
Musk stood next to the President’s Resolute Desk on Tuesday, directing federal agencies to work with the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to reduce staff and limit new recruitment.Standing next to the US President, Musk, who leads DOGE, discussed the department’s goals while also acknowledging that “some of the things I say will be incorrect,” in response to a query regarding his prior statements on Gaza.
Musk also used the chance to justify his behavior during a lengthy Q&A session. As Trump watched, Musk, clad in a dark coat and accompanied by his 4-year-old son, X, addressed worries about potential conflicts of interest, stressing that his commercial dealings with the government had no bearing on his work as CEO of DOGE.
